Michigan City Art League
Classes & Membership
The Art League offers both fall and spring classes for all skill levels, from beginner to advanced.
Classes are held at the Queen of All Saints School cafeteria (1715 E. Barker Ave. in Michigan City, IN 46360). Cafeteria is accessed via Esther St. lot.
Annual membership is $25 and each 12-week semester of classes costs $35.

Classes run from 6 - 8:30 pm on the following dates:
Sept. 5 Bill Cavalier- Beginner Watercolor Instruction.
Sept. 12 Bill Cavalier- Continue with Watercolor Painting.
Sept. 19 Sunny Orbovich- Introduction to Mark Making, Level 1 Drawing.
Sept. 26 Deborah Stipanovich- Painting with Acrylic Paints, A Barn Scene.
Oct. 3 Sunny Orbovich- Drawing, Level 2, Working on Details.
Oct. 10 Christine Hubbell- Fun with Colored Pencils, Card Making.
Oct. 17 Laura Panozzo-Creative Sculptures…Delving Into the Unknown
with Found Objects, Exploring a New Creative Process.
Oct. 24 Sam Stroud- Frogs, Frogs, Frogs…A Multimedia Adventure.
Oct. 31 Kris Cook- A Method of Painting Opaque Pigments in Water? Gouache!
Nov. 7 Laura Krentz-Squeegee Art 101.
Nov. 14 Madeline Schooley-Opposites Do Attract, Composing with Opposites, Part 1.

Exhibits & Events
The Michigan City Art League had a booth at the Lubeznik Arts Festival on August 17-18, 2024. It was a great show and the Michigan City Art League was well represented!
ArtWalk
The ArtWalk is a walking gallery of art created by the members for display and for sale. This program was initiated at Swingbelly's restaurant in the Fall of 2018 and has been very successful.

About Us
Since 1932, MCAL has been promoting and supporting artists in Northwest Indiana through continuing education in the fine arts with workshops and class work sessions.
We encourage and promote interest in art and provide creative opportunities. We are an educational organization dedicated to providing ongoing development of artistic abilities.
